Fourth of July: Foods to Try!

Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays, and it’s just around the corner! If you’re having people over or bringing a dish to a party, check out my favorites here for some inspiration!

Festive Fruit Salad or Fruit Kabob

With all the parade candy, cheeseburgers, and red white and blue desserts that you’re bound to eat today, a fruit salad or fruit kabob is a delicious way to eat something healthier. Obviously, sticking with the Fourth of July theme, red white and blue fruits are the way to go! My favorites are watermelon, strawberries, blue berries, and bananas.

This recipe even has a honey lime glaze!

Chocolate Covered Pretzles

Another one of my favorite holiday snacks is chocolate covered pretzles (decorated for the Fouth of July obviously). You can use colored candy melts or color white chocolate to get festive colors! Or just use lots of sprinkles! (You can make any dessert more festive by adding Fourth of July sprinkles on top!)

Cake Pops

This one takes a little bit longer, but it’s so worth it!! Cake pops are a perfect bite sized dessert, and you can decorate them any way you want! Make a bunch because you’ll want to keep eating them all night. (Don’t worry if your first batch isn’t the *prettiest,* they will still taste great!)

Fourth of July Chips & Salsa (Or Guac)

Okay so this one is Mexican – on an American holida. But who doesn’t love chips & salsa? Just buy some red, white, and blue tortilla chips!

There are TONS of holiday drinks for every holiday on Pinterest – especially the Fourth! I’m going to link a bunch of fun recipes, depending on what you’re looking for!
